The Charleston Design Center

Known for her award winning design projects throughout the southeast, Joyce presently lives in her home town of Charleston, South Carolina. Her work has been featured in several national and local magazines, as well as HGTV's Designer Challenge. She has been a contributor of interior design articles to local magazines and newspapers, and has taught several classes on design. Joyce attended Louisiana State University as a studio art major, was an Illustration major at Boston's Butera School of Art, and obtained her BFA in Interior Design from the American College of the Applied Arts in Atlanta, Georgia.

Joyce completed many of her most interesting projects from her studio in downtown Charleston before branching out to fulfill her passion of illustrating. "I am truly an artist at heart, above and beyond anything else". She was commissioned to complete a set of figure drawings for a college level textbook on yoga, and recently, she lovingly illustrated a friend's children's book entitled "The Friendly fox's Tale". She has written her own children's book and is presently working on the visual adaptation to bring it to life.

With a focus of New Age and Metaphysical art, Joyce encompasses a spirituality in her artwork that comes from her heart and soul. Original drawings of chakras, fairies and angels can be found among her work. Her style of creating texture by using layers of handcrafted paper add to the uniqueness of her pieces.
